| Hey everyone,
So, recently our youth have been gathering to pray at 5.30 on Friday mornings and it has been such an AMAZING time with God. Matt and I wake up about 5 and stumble out of bed, get in the car and get to the building...only to leave the meeting totally pumped and full of energy. It is amazing what being with God and others does to your heart. We have been seeing imdediate answers to prayer....we prayed a couple of weeks ago for Elijah Stanley that he would have more opportunities at school to share about Jesus...that day a buddy of his turned to him and was like "Elijah, I need to hang out with you more. I have been realiziing that I need God in my life and that the only way to God is through Jesus..." and that was just the beginning of the conversation! Crazy! We prayed for some other friends who have a foster brother that was on death row....the day of his execution the type or process the jail used for excutions was band and his date is now sometime next June...he has a whole year to become a Christian! It is crazy what God has been doing! And those are just a few of the stories.
So, anyways...this prayer time was really a response to the challenge Joel Virgo gave us at Windemere this summer-about being a people of prayer. He shared how when he would go to other nations he was astonished at how much the churches pray...he challenged us Westerners to get on our faces and pray...everything is so instant here in the states...and there is such a focus on what can "I" do...I know for myself there is such a tendency to be like "well, what is it that I need to do to make this happen..." or other thoughts like that rather than being like "lets take some time and just see what God wants to do"...
So, I would challenge all of you to pray more...not out of religiousness because that is just sucky...but in a way that is an attitude of "you know what...I don't have all the answers...I don't even have a small amount of answers...but God does and he is the coolest guy Ever so...lets see what He wants us to do..." I promise you will see amazing things begin to happen.

| Hey friends, Matt and I would just like to thank all of you who have been praying for us during this time. We have really known the Father's grace through it all and have felt so loved by our family and friends. It has been really difficult, and there has been a lot of emotion to work through...I don't think we have ever cried so much ever. One of the first things Matt said to me was " I can't believe God would give up his son who he has known forever...we have only known this child for 3 months...we haven't even seen them...and it hurts this bad...what must God have felt? " It really has given us a whole new perspective on what God has done for us.
Anyway, thanks again for all your prayers. We love you guys!

| Greetings O Christmas monkeys. We hope that Christmas left you with warm fuzzies and a greater awareness of the our King Jesus.
Matt and I are spending Christmas with the rents in hotlanta. We have only been here a couple of days and it has already been an eventful time. My mom got my dad and jonathan a jack russell terrier for Christmas! They were totally surprised! Neither one of them had asked for a puppy, knowing my mom was enjoying just having one dog around rather then two. But alas, she is a woman with a huge heart and one who enjoys surprising people with gifts they never expected to get. Jonathan and Dad's reaction made the whole thing worth it! In their whole 26 years of marriage my mom had never seen my dad so stunned or excited! And Jonathan, having lost his jack russell, Lexi, to a car back in Easter was so overcome with emotion all he could do was cry. We were all wooping and hollering! The puppy seemed like a present to the whole family...although Jonathan and Dad will quickly remind you that it is theirs. Her name is Gabby and she is the cutest thing ever...way cuter than even badgers and squirrels.
Other happenings are good. Matt and I are still plowing away at Trilogy and getting our photo biz up and running. We love leading the youth-Matt is doing a great job-and has begun to build a larger team.
We are pumped about Youth Weekend in Feb-we will be continuing to build the theme of being on a mission. We will be hitting the streets of st. jo with hot chocolate and coffee...a long way from Newday but a diffinent start.
Santa Lives!
